Well, it’s been a long time since I posted one of these things on the internet.  Let’s see if I can stir up the pot, give you an insight on things and do it only the way Tunde can.

 First off, an update on thing going on with me.  If you didn’t know already, I had a knee injury last year February and had surgery for it this past January.  It seemed to go well, and don’t feel as much pain as I did before the surgery, but due to the slow healing and extra swelling of the knee I will be getting x-rays to check if all is well inside.  I thank all who have asked and continue to ask how I am on a regular basis.  I look forward to telling you all that I am 100% and things are back to normal.

Now, I was told about a month back I was told to watch the movie The Ugly Truth staring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler and I must say it is funny yet honest movie.  I say this because it took a real and common situation and put a comical spin on it.  Too many people, not just men, not just women, have a list of how a person they are interested in should be, and if they don’t meet it, then it is a waste of their time.  I think that is BS!!  People short change themselves from good people due to them having “tunnel vision”!  I mean, yes, you may have a preference of type, height, weight and maybe in body type, but if a person is a hard working person, or a very active person and you pass up on him because he is 5’5” and is not the same religion as you is not a good call.  Know that the same thing you are doing one person may be being done to you with your knowledge.  You don’t want to be treated like a shopping list, I don’t think so.  Think outside of the box, you are not your mother or father, you are all in a day and age that things are seen different, done differently and acted on differently.  You short change yourself by limiting yourself to what you “think” is ideal for yourself.  Come to think of it, if my family thought like that, I would not be here right now.  Reason being is that I am Nigerian born, and in Nigeria, there are really 2 religions, Christian or Muslim, and way back when you wouldn’t dare to be interested in another person of a different religion.  However, my Grandmother was a Muslim, and very proud and respected one, and my Grandfather was a very Christian man.  They thought outside the box and here I am.  So, if you are looking to find that one person to light up your world, to make your jaw drop or to even sweep you off your feet, give the unlikely guy or gal a chance to do so.  You may be surprised at the results.

Now I was going to stop there about this topic, but I had to talk a little more about the movie and its truth to what goes on out here.  In the movie Gerard Butler is seen as a disrespectful, rude, inappropriate pig, and truth is, some guys are, NOT ALL!!  So, when a woman telling me she that she talks to guys and jumps to talking dirty, sexual and just inappropriate only to beat the guy to it MAKES NO SENSE!  Ladies, if you are talking to a guy and you start to talk about sex, body parts, and different positions, you have already put your stamp of what you are to that man!  You will only be look at for one thing, I need not have to explain more about that.  Some men actually want to know about who you are, what you do, your family friends and maybe things that interest you.  That is an attractive trait, to me anyway.  If you can sit there and tell me you going to school full time, working part time and taking care of your family on the side, that is way more attractive then you telling me you got DD boob and have no gag reflex, just saying.  You want respect, talk with respect.  Don’t just sit there shooting out random questions and not have anything to back it up with.  I think I am gonna stop here, hope you enjoyed it!
